Default Runes for MM/MB

I looked through the topic above and a few pages but I haven't seen anything about this. If its up, I'm sorry. ^^;

Anyway, I'm planning on building my necro into a Minion Master/ Minion Bomber. I'm trying to figure out which runes and weapons I should use for both builds. I do plan on using two different armor sets depending on what I'm doing.

I'm currently aiming for only PvE and farming for the time being. So any help would be greatly appreciated.

Start off with bloodstained on gloves or boots. For minion master, minion master insignia probably will do becouse you would have 5+ minions most of the time. For bomber, survivor may be a better way to go. You don't need radiant becouse you minions death's will fuel your soul reaping.

bloodstained works the same on head, otherwise agree
use minion master on my bomber(s) as well, the disadvantage of more frequesnt deaths is absolutely erased by Jagged Bones and the fact im making 2 minions out of each corpse. if im not fighting some noobish ele boss in HM, the number doesnt go below 5 even with bomber
if you re going to hunt The Draught, dont be a mm anyway

Oh, and SUPERIOR DEATH, placed on your headpiece.
That gives you max number of max level minions, and the lower health is actually a blessing in disguise as it means losing less health to Blood of the Master.

less health=less sac, more minions

Address the build's priorities in order:

1. Start with a bloodstained insignia and a superior death rune. You'll need those for either build.

2. Now, add a soul reaping of some grade. For MB, I'd recommend minor, as health is nice, and MB's don't need to sacrifice. For MM, you can do as you like, but I recommend another superior. (Yes, that is 2 superior runes.) That makes the 13 SR breakpoint possible for masochism without sacrificing the 3rd (self-heal's) attribute and helps you lower your life total (which is good for a MM).

3. For the MB, skip this step. For the MM, IF you followed my advice about taking on a second sup rune, you may need to get some life back. For a MM, you want to park your life total around a figure that is (1) within acceptable energy parameters for self-healing 25% of it every 6.1 sec (here is a somewhat dated post going over the maximum values for various options), (2) not so low that you're spike bait, and (3) placed to avoid under/overhealing by coming at least close to a ratio of 1 botm cast :: 1 self-heal cast or 2 botm casts :: 1 self-heal cast. Since heal area is the strongest self-heal choice available right now, that means ~440 in most cases. (Unless you're using a different self heal or you're feeling brave/stupid enough to try 220.) So add vigor/vitae/survivor back up to ~440.

4. If you splash a blood magic skill, add a minor blood magic. Otherwise don't. If you splash a curses skill, question why you're splashing a skill at a low attribute from a line that's strong enough to support an entire hero build.

5. Add armor. Armor is more valuable than HP in PvE, especially with the options available to you. Minion master's insignia is a straight +10 for all practical purposes, with another +5 on a pretty easy condition. It's my top choice for both MM and MB. Moloch likes Undertakers (for MM especially), since botm makes it a straight +5, and getting hit enough to even have to worry about will bring it up to at least +10, if not +15. Plus there's the interesting effect on the monster AI -- the more the hurt you, the tougher you get, and the more likely they become to let you just kite away. Finally, tormented is a straight +10 with no drawback other than having to keep a second set of armor for the handful of zones with significant sources of holy damage.

6. If you're MB, fill out any spare spaces with +HP. If you're a MM, you should have already balanced your life back in step 3, so fill out the spare spaces with +energy, since you've got nothing better to do.
